SAFE 2 SAVE competition results are in: HPW takes first overall
Results from the September 2021 City of Houston inaugural SAFE 2 SAVE Competition are in!
The competition ran throughout the month of September and ended on September 30, 2021.
Here are some statistics about the COH competitors:
- Highest rate of participants: HPW with 16 total drivers.
HPW also has the largest total point of any department with
50,234 total points
- Highest average number of points per department was ARA with 4,635 average points.
- Highest average of driving score was won by SWM with a score of 100%.
- Runner up was LGL with a score of 98.16%.
Across all departments, including unknowns, some 311,579 points were earned. This equates to more than 2,500 hours of undistracted driving.
But a competition has no value without a winner, and we are pleased to announce the department that scored the most points: Houston Public Works.
We are proud to extend huge congratulations to the winners as well as all the participants, who are contributing to the City’s Vision Zero Houston goal by helping to make our streets a safer place for everyone.
