The UNC School of Medicine Caregivers at Carolina program, funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, is accepting applications from physician scientists whose research productivity is impacted by family caregiving responsibilities. If selected, faculty could receive up to $50,000 to provide direct research support or buy out of clinical time so that the scientist may maintain research productivity during a transient period when caregiving demands are high. | |

UNC Health is required to have an accurate report of teammates’ COVID-19 booster status by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid. UNC-Chapel Hill employees who serve in clinical roles at the UNC Medical Center should go online to attest to their booster status – this includes whether they have received a booster, plan to in the future, or do not plan to receive a booster. The deadline to attest is Nov. 6. | |

A concerning ultrasound revealed a very rapid fetal heart rate, and Kimberly was referred to William Goodnight, MD, medical director of the UNC Health Fetal Care Center, who led treatment of a rare condition called fetal supraventricular tachycardia. | |
