As many schools begin to reopen across California and in Orange County, concerns about classroom COVID-19 exposures have become a growing concern. Our UCI Health Epidemiology and Infection Prevention team has prepared several informative FAQs to address how to prevent exposure as well as what to do if you are exposed or contract COVID-19. It is important to remember that practicing social distancing, masking and hand hygiene remain the safest methods to prevent COVID transmission even in the event you are exposed. Thank you for continuing to keep the safety of our patients and each other a top priority.

- COVID-19+ individuals (cumulative total): 2,185
- COVID-19+ patients in-house: 34
- COVID-19+ patients discharged: 531
- COVID-19 PUIs: 0
- COVID-19 + co-workers: 266
- COVID-19 + co-workers returned to work: 207
PPE status
- Regular masks: ~90 days on hand
- N95s: ~30 days on hand
