re-use of a vacant residential hotel and provides 51 units of affordable, supportive housing for individuals with histories of homelessness.

The building features a rooftop solar thermal system that will provide 59% of the energy required to heat the building's water and the Chicago Botanic Garden will host horticulture classes on the rooftop garden. Buffet Place also features a flower shop, Urban Meadows, that will employ six residents. The FHLBC awarded Thresholds a $374,000 Affordable Housing Program grant in 2011 through One Mortgage Partners Corp., an affiliate of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
