William E. Bunney, MD, receives the 2019 Oberlin College Distinguished Achievement Award

William E. Bunney, MD, distinguished professor and associate dean for Research Administration and Development at the School of Medicine, is the recipient of the 2019 Oberlin College Distinguished Achievement Award, presented by his alma mater, Oberlin College, through the Oberlin Alumni Association.
"My time at Oberlin was a critical four years which launched my research, teaching and administrative career," said Dr. Bunney.
Over the last seven years, Dr. Bunney has received two international awards: The Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Prize in Mental Health from the Institute of Medicine/National Academy of Sciences (IOM/NAS), and The Pioneer Award from Collegium Internationale Neuro-Psychopharmacologicum (CINP). Over the last few years, he has received several national awards including the Yale Psychiatry Distinguished Alumni Award; The Payne Whitney Clinic Award for Extraordinary Public Service from the Department of Psychiatry, Weill Medical College of Cornell University; and the 2016 Distinguished Graduate Award from the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.
