Congratulations to Ray Ramirez, manager, Metz Culinary Management, for earning the 2024 Metz Exemplary Performance Award for his work establishing food services at Valencia College.

Last year, Metz Culinary Management became the new food services vendor and preferred caterer for Valencia College, and Ray received this national recognition for his commitment to excellence and professionalism as we established our business partnership.

"Valencia has been an amazing client partner since our inception back in the Fall term of 2024," says Ray. "Special shout out to Jeffrey Filko [director, auxiliary services] and Paul Rooney [assistant vice president, campus safety and services]. There has not been a need that has not been met with the utmost support. This ranges from equipment needs, all the way to the level of communication and speed of turnaround for any needs in between.”

Ray works tirelessly to find new and creative ways to deliver outstanding products and great service to Valencia College. He has a particular passion for setting and meeting high expectations for both himself and the rest of the Food Services team. Ray comes to work each and every day with an attitude of 'We will make it work' when facing any challenge.
