Creekview Apartments Grand Opening

On August 11, Jacquie Loper (right) accepted an award on behalf of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago at the grand opening of Full Circle Communities Creekview Apartments, a 25-unit, fully accessible rental property located in Richmond, Illinois. The FHLBank Chicago awarded a $375,000 competitive Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant to the project through IFF.

Accion Chicagos Taquiza 2017

Community Investment staff attended Accion Chicago’s Taquiza in the Pilsen neighborhood on August 17. This annual event gathers more than 150 small business owners, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders. Attendees enjoyed music, tacos, and networking with community development professionals.

Illinois Housing Council’s Fall Mixer

On September 14, Community Investment staff attended the Illinois Housing Council’s Fall Mixer, a networking event for affordable housing professionals held in Chicago.

 

Tennyson Ridge Grand Opening

Community Investment staff attended the grand opening of Tennyson Ridge Apartments in Madison, Wisconsin, on September 13. The FHLBank Chicago made an $850,000 competitive AHP award to this project; Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc. is the sponsor, and Bank Mutual is the member.

Mercy Housing Lakefronts Moving Forward Together

On September 27, FHLBank Chicago staff attended Mercy Housing Lakefront’s annual Moving Forward Together event. Mercy Housing Lakefront recognized the Bank with its Partners in Innovation Award, which was presented to organizations and individuals that worked to develop the Margot & Harold Schiff Residences. The project offers 96 units of affordable rental housing in the Near North neighborhood of Chicago. The FHLBank Chicago made a $750,000 competitive AHP award to the project through BMO Harris Bank National Association.

Community First® Fund Partner Reception

FHLBank staff hosted the Community First Fund Partner Reception in Washington, D.C. on September 27. This event honored Community First Fund partners: Accion Chicago, Chicago Community Loan Fund, Cinnaire Lending Corporation, Community Investment Corporation, Community Reinvestment Fund, Forward Community Investments, IFF, Impact Seven, and Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation.
