Meeting in central Barcelona, we'll travel together to Lluerna. Along the way, we will hear about the basics of molecular cuisine, preparing us for the extraordinary feast ahead. Upon arriving at Lluerna, we will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes to where the magic happens: the kitchen. After touring the kitchen facilities, and perhaps examining some unusual tools, we will be led to a private dining area to review the upcoming menu. As our meal progresses, our docent will annotate the origins and significance of each dish and accompanying beverage. From explaining the region of the ingredients' origins to the techniques. During our evening, the discussion might range from the scientific techniques used in molecular food preparation to the modern interpretation of traditional Catalan cuisine to the history and characteristics of Catalan wine.
