Up to $110,000/year | Internal Deadline September 30

The Cancer Center is seeking to nominate one candidate per funding mechanism for the 2027 St. Baldrick's Foundation Spring Cycle. This cycle includes three opportunities:


1) St. Baldrick's Scholar (Career Development) Award – RFA 
  • Award: Up to $110,000/year for years 1-3, with an option for two additional years
  • Focus: Career development for early-career pediatric oncology investigators
  • Eligibility: PhD, MD, or DO; full-time faculty position held for no more than seven years; no prior or current R01-equivalent funding
2) St. Baldrick's International Scholar Award – RFA
  • Award: Up to $110,000/year for years 1-3, with an option for two additional years
  • Focus: Training pediatric oncology researchers from low- and middle-income countries, with a required faculty sponsor/mentor at the sponsoring institution
  • Eligibility: Early-career researchers committed to returning to their country of origin after training
3) Allied World – St. Baldrick's Survivorship and Supportive Care Research Grant – RFA
  • Award: Up to $50,000 for one year 
  • Focus: Hypothesis-driven research on survivorship and supportive care for children and adolescents with cancer 
  • Eligibility: PhD, DNP, MD, or DO; PhD nurses encouraged to apply

If selected, the Cancer Center will provide administrative support through Research Support Services and cover application preparation costs.
