Join the Celebration:
10th Anniversary Anti-Cancer Challenge  |  Register Now

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

You’re invited to celebrate a major milestone: the 10th anniversary of the UC Irvine Anti-Cancer Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the UC Irvine campus.

As I reflect on the past decade, I am deeply moved by how this event has grown. I first launched the Anti-Cancer Challenge in effort to support the most innovative, paradigm-shifting research of our cancer scientists and clinicians.

Today, this annual community ride, run and walk has become a cherished tradition, raising $7.7 million for pilot projects and early phase clinical trials at UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and our pediatric cancer partner, Rady Children’s Hospital of Orange County. These projects have generated over $60 million in additional grants and launched life-saving therapies.

How to Participate:

  • Register and choose your activity: 5K run/walk, 14-to-100-mile street bike routes or mountain bike route.

  • Create or join a team with your colleagues or department.

  • Donate or join as a virtual participant if you can’t attend in person.
Let’s celebrate a decade of progress, honor those we have lost, support those in the fight and accelerate research that will define the next generation of cancer care.
Thank you for all that you do every day to advance our mission. I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, Oct. 10.
