2025 BigCare Application Form

Welcome to the application for the 2025 NCI-funded "Big Data Training for Cancer Research" workshop! The workshop will be held in-person on July 7 - 18, 2025 at University of California Irvine, Irvine, CA.

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: In this application you will be asked for two documents that require prior preparation:

I. NIH Biosketch. Include the following in the “personal statement” section:

a) Briefly summarize your research areas;
b) The reasons you want to learn more about big data analysis in cancer research;

c) Briefly describe any projects you have planned or completed that require big data analysis skills;

d) A brief statement describing how you would benefit from participating in the course.

II. Letter of Support. If you are a post-doc/graduate student/research staff, you will need a letter of support from your mentor(s) that clearly states that they are supportive of your participation in the program and recognize the time commitment necessary to successfully complete the program. They should explain why you need the training for your current research project or personal development.

IMPORTANT NOTE 2: There is a "save and continue" feature in the application. Make sure you answered all questions in each page before clicking "Save & Continue Later" button. You will be asked to enter an email address to receive a link with saved response.

Only applicants that are physically available for the entire period of the workshop should apply. If you are available for the full workshop and have the document(s) ready, click the "Start" button to continue.
