Dear School of Medicine Faculty,
We are seeking applications for the medical director of the Center for Clinical Research (CCR), our multispecialty centralized clinical trial administration in the School of Medicine. We would like to thank Magi Senthil, MD, for her leadership over the past three years. She will be stepping down from this role as of June 30, 2025, to devote more time to her own research projects.
The CCR has become a vital part of our research enterprise over the last five years and continues to adapt and grow to serve the needs of the faculty and institution. The medical director is responsible for providing governance and leadership, market differentiation and growth, and process oversight and stakeholder experience. View the job description PDF for more details regarding this position, which will report to the vice dean for clinical research and communicate with School of Medicine leadership (chairs and the School of Medicine dean) and other key stakeholders (Internal Advisory Board, External Advisory Board).
We welcome candidates who have clinical trials experience and are interested in continuing the growth of the support and services for our growing clinical research portfolio. Interested faculty members should email Shauna Stark (starks@hs.uci.edu) with a brief description of their vision for improving clinical trials research at UC Irvine and any relevant experience they may have, as well as a current CV or NIH biosketch, by Monday, March 10, 2025. Final candidates will be interviewed, and the projected start date will be July 1, 2025. Please contact Shauna Stark, assistant dean of research operations, or Daniela Bota, MD, PhD, vice dean for clinical research, with any questions.
Sincerely,
|
