2025 Health Care Forecast Conference
Join us for the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business 34th annual Health Care Forecast Conference. The conference will present a near-term forecast of the health care economic and political landscape. Presentations will include examining recent Federal and California health policy developments and discussing the effect of the 2024 election results on healthcare policies in 2025 and beyond. Panelists will also analyze emerging interventions addressing the obesity crisis, as well as the promise and peril of AI in healthcare.

UC Irvine HoLEP Masterclass: Laser Enucleation of the Prostate
Accumulating evidence shows that holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) is associated with more favorable outcomes than other endoscopic approaches including shorter hospital stay, reduced bleeding complications, and shorter catheterization time. Moreover, HoLEP is not limited by size of the prostate i.e., size independent endoscopic treatment modality. Despite the above advantages, the long learning curve estimated to range from 30-50 cases hinders the wide adoption of this technique.
