Grants.gov is a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 U.S. Government grant programs offered by 26 federal grant-making agencies and provides access to approximately $500 billion in annual awards.

UCSD provides this excellent resource; a frequently updated and comprehensive list of funding opportunities geared toward early career faculty.
GRAPES (UCLA Graduate Postdoctoral Extramural Support)
GRAPES is a database of extramural funding opportunities—625 private and publicly funded awards, fellowships, and internships—for prospective and current graduate students, students working on a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation, and postdoctoral scholars.

Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H)
Provides research funding to programs that build high-payoff, transformative capabilities or platforms to drive biomedical breakthroughs.
Agency for Health-Care Research and Quality (AHRQ)
Supports research to improve the quality, effectiveness, accessibility, and cost effectiveness of health care.
Department of Defense (DOD) Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP)
Supports biomedical research in specific agency-designated strategic areas.
Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)
Makes grants to organizations to improve and expand health care services for underserved people.
Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)
Funds studies to improve the methods available for patient-centered Clinical Effectiveness Research and studies that compare outcomes between two or more approaches to health care.
National Science Foundation (NSF)
An independent federal agency that funds approximately 20 percent of all federally supported basic research conducted at America's colleges and universities.
