Management of Challenging Behaviors in Autism Spectrum Disorder Series
This CME activity was designed to increase the knowledge and competence of primary care providers in the care of patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and challenging or interfering behaviors. Culinary Health Webinar Series: Women’s Gut Health
The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute’s Culinary Health Webinar Series is a 50-minute workshop based on the UC Irvine School of Medicine Culinary Medicine curriculum. Each class includes an educational lecture by either Katrine Whiteson, PhD, Samueli scholar and associate professor of molecular biology and biochemistry, or another lecturer from the Samueli Institute. After the lecture, Jessica VanRoo, CCMP, executive chef at the Samueli Institute, demonstrates an original recipe related to the topic presented. This presentation will be led by Katherine Hom, MD, FACOG, integrative medicine physician.

Undergraduate Student Excellence in Research Symposium
Location: Gillespie Neuroscience Research Facility Courtyard. Successful participation in creative research is one of the highest academic goals undergraduates can attain. Through these opportunities, students gain a deep understanding and appreciation for research at the highest level that cannot be obtained any other way. Students enrolled in undergraduate research and who meet eligibility requirements have an opportunity to present their scientific data to the academic community at the Undergraduate Research Symposium by participating in the Excellence in Research Program. Those who successfully complete the program are rewarded with Excellence in Research in Biological Sciences and have their research published in the Journal of Undergraduate Research in the Biological Sciences.
