The Future of Traffic Safety

A Joint Initiative of ITS-Irvine and the UCI Department of Emergency Medicine

Friday, April 12, 2024

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Now in its 9th year, the Transportation Colloquium at the University of California, Irvine features presentations from leading scholars and practitioners in the fields of urban planning, public policy, engineering and transportation.

The Colloquium was established as a collaborative effort celebrating the close relationship between planners and engineers. It provides a forum for scholars and practitioners from these different fields to share their work and learn from each other and provides an opportunity for students to learn from experts in the field and to network with potential employers.

The Colloquium has covered a wide range of topics over the years, including transportation and technology, autonomous and connected vehicles, transportation equity and social justice, as well as this spring’s theme of transportation safety.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of UC ITS Statewide Transportation Research Program (STRP), UC ITS Resilient and Innovative Mobility Initiative (RIMI), USDOT Center for Automated Vehicle Research and Multimodal AssurED Navigation (CARMEN), and the USDOT Pacific Southwest Region University Transportation Center (PSR).
