Purpose

The Eighth Annual Hematology Symposium will feature regional and national experts bringing you state-of-the-art updates on CLL, Hemorrhagic Shock and Resuscitation, Hemostasis Testing and ROTEM, RN/NP Considerations in Hematology/Oncology Transplant, Updates in Multiple Myeloma, Autologous and Allogeneic HSCT, Hyperhaemolysis and other TM Considerations in SCD, and updates in Sickle Cell Disease.

Target Audience

This activity was developed for primary care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other professionals with an interest in hematology.

Activity Objectives

  • As a result of attending this course, I am better able to recognize emerging options in the management of sickle cell disease.
  • Use of antifibrinolytics is indicated when ROTEM tracings demonstrate hyperfibrinolysis in a bleeding patient.
  • As a result of attending this course, I am better able to recognize the role of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapies in selected states.
