New PIN and password requirements for voicemail
To ensure your Centura voicemail is secure, the Information Technology (IT) Voice Communications Team is requiring that all voicemail PINs/passwords are updated to 6 numeric digits beginning today, Nov. 2. Additionally, if you are using the web application to manage your voicemail, you will be required to update the web application password to eight or more qualifying characters. If you are using your @centura.org network login and password, the web application policies will not apply.
For security purposes, your voicemail PIN must be updated every 180 days and the web application password must be updated every 120 days.
Changing your PIN through any phone
- Dial 303-643-0100
- Press *
- Enter your ID (6-digit extension) followed by #
- Enter your PIN followed by #
- Enter options 4 3 1
- Enter your new PIN followed by #
- Confirm your new PIN followed by #
Voicemail PIN requirementsPlease follow these guidelines to set your new voicemail PIN:
- The PIN cannot match the numeric representation of the first or last name of the user.
- The PIN cannot contain the primary extension or alternate extensions of the user.
- The PIN cannot contain the reverse of the primary extension or alternate extensions of the user.
- The PIN cannot contain groups of repeated digits, such as “408408” or “123123.”
- The PIN cannot contain only two different digits, such as “121212.”
- A digit cannot be used more than two times consecutively (for example, “28883”).
- The PIN cannot be an ascending or descending group of digits (for example, “012345” or “987654”).
- The PIN cannot contain a group of numbers that are dialed in a diagonal, vertical or horizontal straight line on the phone keypad (for example, the user cannot use "159", "159730", "147", "147365", "123" or "123597" as a PIN).
Changing your PIN and password through the web application - Select the following link: https://cepinvuty001.corp.centura.org/ciscopca/
- Enter Username and Password
- Click Login
- Click Messaging Assistant
- Go to Passwords > Change PIN
- Enter your new PIN and confirm new PIN
- Click Save
- Go to Passwords > Change Cisco PCA Password
- Enter current password
- Enter new password and confirm new password
- Click Save
Web application password requirementsPlease follow these guidelines to set your new web application password:
- The password must contain at least three of the following four characters: an uppercase character, a lowercase character, a number or a symbol.
- The password cannot contain the user alias or its reverse.
- The password cannot contain the primary extension or any alternate extensions.
- A character cannot be used more than three times consecutively (for example, !Cooool).
- The characters cannot all be consecutive, in ascending or descending order (for example, abcdef or fedcba).
Effective Tuesday, Dec. 7, if you have not changed your voicemail PIN to 6 numeric digits, and your web application password to an 8 character password, you will not be able to access your voicemail via a Cisco phone, or through the web application. You will need to submit a
Voicemail Account Management request through the Self Service Hub.
