What’s your why?
For avid live music fan Danielle Hessong, Infection Prevention Program Manager, Porter Adventist Hospital, getting the vaccine not only allows her to attend concerts again but also enables her to host her wedding without fear of spreading the virus to her loved ones.

“Because of my role, I’m often asked whether or not someone should get the COVID-19 vaccine,” Danielle explained. “I want people to know that it’s smart to question. I encourage people who are hesitant to get the vaccine to dig in, do some research, and ask experts they know for advice. Investigating the vaccines as much as possible and understanding the science behind them will help people make an educated decision.”

Access to Epic and key clinical applications changing on Aug. 24
On Aug. 24, Information Technology will decommission the nsg.centura.org site used by many associates and providers to launch Epic and other applications when using a non-Centura Health owned computer. In addition, access to many apps via My Virtual Workplace (MVW) will also change and additional steps may need to be taken to launch applications. Learn how to maintain convenient Epic access by using Workspace ONE!

Mandatory change to phone dialing in Colorado, Kansas and New Mexico
Ten-digit dialing will be required in areas of Colorado, Kansas and New Mexico effective Tuesday, Aug. 31. This change will require updating any device currently using seven-digit dialing, including fax machines, security systems, modems, speed dialing and more.
