Throughout the pandemic we have been committed to the whole health and safety of our associates, providers, patients and communities. This commitment to safety remains our top priority so we are inviting our incredible people to join a focus group and help us understand the factors contributing to vaccine hesitancy.
Deciding whether to receive the COVID-19 vaccine is a personal choice and Centura is not currently requiring the vaccine. That said, as we work to move health forward, we are interested in learning more about why individuals are selecting to remain unvaccinated. If you chose to not receive the COVID-19 vaccine and are willing to participate in a focus group to share why, please contact Kimberly Walter, Behavioral Health Education Director at KimberlyWalter@Centura.org. Your voice is important to us, so please share!
Members of the focus group will participate in one 30-minute interview conducted by one of our family medicine psychologists. Themes from the interviews will be compiled to better understand and address vaccine hesitancy in our communities. Your individual responses will be kept private.
We would love to have a large and diverse focus group, so please consider signing up today if you have not received the vaccine.
As a reminder, participating in this focus group is voluntary. If you select not to participate, you are not obligated to share your vaccination status and your health information is always protected.

American Heart Association’s virtual Heart & Stroke walk was June 5. Teams from across Centura raised $15,334, which was over our fundraising goal of $15,000.
In addition to raising money, associates across our ministry got moving! As part of this year’s virtual walk, nearly 250 associates walked, hiked, biked, cleaned, danced or otherwise moved to show their support for the American Heart Association.
If you joined a heart walk team, you are eligible to earn 50 wellness points in your Inspire Wellbeing account! To earn your points, visit wellbeing.centura.org, find the 2021 Heart & Stroke Walk in the Program Points section, click “Complete This” and upload a picture or documentation that you participated on a Centura team.
Thanks to everyone who participated and supported the American Heart Association!
