To better align with Centura Health’s 2025 goals and from feedback we received, the transfer center has a new name! Beginning in March 2021 we officially renamed our department the Centura Transfer Center. We are still providing the same great services, only with our new name.

IT Service Center FAQ: Why was my ticket closed?

The Information Technology (IT) Service Center is here for you – our incredible people – 24/7. We are happy to answer your questions and assist with requests or needs. Our number one goal is to provide first call resolution! The IT Service Center strives to provide the best customer service coupled with quick resolutions.

One frequent concern received by the service center is tickets are closed prior to resolution. As part of our service center policy, we close tickets when we cannot reach the end user to follow up on the issue.

At least three attempts are made to follow up using the number or contact information provided before a ticket is closed. The best way to ensure proper follow up and quick resolution it is to leave a contact time, phone number and instructions to ensure timely resolution. Examples:

Other helpful tips: How can you reach the IT Service Center?

Self Service Hub: From the hub, you can request hardware, software (including Epic), modify email distribution lists, etc. Most services can be requested through the Self Service Hub, however if you have an urgent or time-sensitive issue, we encourage you to call the service center at 303-643-4200.

Self Service Portal Chat: In early January 2020, the service center introduced the new Portal Chat feature! We understand that our associates are busy and not always close to a phone. This feature provides another method of receiving the same personal connection when you aren’t able to call the service center.

Effective June 1, Skype for Business is no longer available

Skype for Business is being retired by Microsoft. To continue delivery of instant messaging capabilities, Information Technology (IT) has proactively moved to Microsoft (MS) Teams and on June 1 implemented “Teams Only” mode. At this time, instant messaging is only available through MS Teams Chat.

Do you need to send a chat/instant message?
If you are not familiar with MS Teams and the chat feature, please reference the MS Teams Chat User Guide.

In addition to chat, we recommend viewing the numerous guides, training videos and previous newsletter articles to learn more:
•    MS Teams – Did You Know
•    MS Teams End User Guide
•    MS Teams Site Owner Guide
•    Are you ready to use Microsoft Teams?
•    Explore what’s possible with Microsoft (MS) Teams

Training on MS Teams
Explore what is possible with MS Teams through training videos and instructor-led sessions available directly inside MS Teams. To access these trainings:

  1. Launch Microsoft Teams.
  2. Select Learning Pathways from the left navigation bar.
  3. To view and select topic-specific videos, select Getting Started with Microsoft Teams.
  4. Select Structured Learning to register for an instructor-led class.
IT is committed to delivering new technology to streamline and encourage collaboration and communication to enhance the work you do together.

Last chance to join 2021 Heart & Stroke Walk

Each year, teams from Centura Health proudly support the American Heart Association’s (AHA) annual Heart & Stroke Walk to celebrate the lives of heart attack and stroke survivors, promote exercise, and raise overall health awareness. As the leading cause of death in this country, cardiovascular disease claims almost as many lives each year as the next 7 leading causes of death combined. The AHA’s priorities embody Centura’s vision of every community, every neighborhood, every life – whole and healthy.

You can still make an impact by participating in the upcoming 2021 Denver Heart & Stroke Walk Digital Experience on Saturday, June 5. Click here to join one of Centura’s teams and walk where you are – and encourage your colleagues and associates to join!
