New CEO named for Mercy Regional Medical Center

Patrick Sharp, MBA, has been named Chief Executive Officer for Mercy Regional Medical Center and joined our healing ministry on Jan. 25.
Passionate about rural health care, Patrick excels at relationship building and transparent communication. He enjoys creating lasting connections with both internal and external partners. Patrick is on a mission to be a leader who inspires others to flourish in a balanced life through faith, integrity, accountability, and the pursuit of knowledge. As CEO of Mercy Regional Medical Center, Patrick will cultivate strong, trusting relationships with our Board, associates, advanced practice providers, physicians and volunteers to impact the health and wholeness of every life, every neighbor and every community Mercy serves.
Patrick received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and a Master of Business Administration from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. He is a member of the Minnesota Hospital Association’s Policy & Advocacy Committee and previously served on the board of the Hibbing Community College Foundation. To help strengthen both his faith and leadership skills, Patrick is currently pursuing his master’s degree in theology with an emphasis in philosophy.
Patrick is married to his wife, Sereen Sharp, MD, an internal medicine physician. They have four children: Kade, 13; Kyler, 10; Cale, 8; and Adelle, 6. The family owns five dogs, two Siberian Huskies, two Labradors and one German Shepherd. Outside of work, Patrick and his family enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, hunting, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking and camping.
