In less than a week, on Monday, Nov. 2, Centura Health will make it even easier for patients to be involved in their care by giving them access to more of their health information through the patient portal.
Starting Nov. 2, changes in Epic, our electronic health record, will enable the automatic release of more health information including clinical notes and sharing of test results to our patients. For a quick overview, view this video. This change was prompted by the 21st Century Cures Act, issued by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health IT and supported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
These changes will further support the whole person care for which Centura Health is known.
While a significant amount of clinical information is already available on our patient portal, MyCenturaHealth, on Nov. 2 patients will have real-time electronic access to eight types of clinical notes including:

Key areas of focus for the newly hired mentoring program include Department Knowledge (tools and resources, key people, and core business functions) and Organizational Knowledge (2025 strategy and goals, system/ entity structure, and system/ entity culture). To further enhance the mentoring experience, mentoring pairs will have access to virtual mentoring technology, MentorcliQ.
