Share your story on July 8

Your voice and experience is important, and we want to hear from you. Please share your thoughts with us in Centura Health’s Associate Engagement Pulse survey, which goes live on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Designed to measure key aspects of your experience, this pulse survey is an opportunity for you to share your story and make suggestions to strengthen our connected ecosystem with you.

This brief (less than five minutes) and confidential online survey will run July 8 through August 2. Check your Centura Health email inbox the morning of July 8 (invitation will be sent on July 7 between 10 and 11:59 p.m. MT) for a message from our survey partner Glint (survey@glintinc.com). The survey invitation is your personal link to complete the survey.

Start planning for Epic upgrade next month

On July 12, the Epic upgrade and Storyboard launch will unveil new features and functions to continue leveraging efficiencies, improving quality of patient care and delivering exceptional patient experiences. It’s important that you prepare for the upgrade and the steps that precede it.

What to expect

Starting Thursday, July 9 at 5 p.m. (1700) MT (1800 CT), certain customization features will not be available, including setting the favorite chart review filters, modifying NoteWriter macros, SmartPhrases and other similar tools. This is only temporary and will become available after the upgrade.
Saturday, July 11 at 11:30 p.m. (2330) MT (0030 CT), the planned downtime for the upgrade begins.
Epic will be unavailable for approximately two hours.
A dedicated Epic Command Center will open immediately following the upgrade, through Tuesday, July 14at 5 p.m.
To reach the Epic Command Center, please call the IT Help Desk and select the correct menu prompt.

Getting ready
In addition to the new workspace layout Storyboard, which places the patient’s story front and center, view a recent article about the additional features and functions coming with the upgrade. As you prepare, take advantage of the multiple education resources available to learn about all the new changes:

Epic’s Learning Home Dashboard (LHD): Upgrade and Storyboard tip sheets are available - Accessing the Learning Home Dashboard Instructions.
LEARN: General overview and application-specific training videos are available. Storyboard information is being added and updated through March 23.
Upgrade Playground (UPGPLY): Training environment that is available to see the changes and practice using them before the new features and functions are live.

We understand that change takes time, and Centura Health wants to ensure that you have what you need to be successful while minimizing disruption to your daily routine. We encourage you to start your journey today to guarantee the July 12 upgrade is seamless.
