Dear Agent,
Two important changes to how we provide insurance are on the horizon:
- New TWIA policy contracts: All new and renewal TWIA policies will include updated coverages, terms, and conditions. The new policy contracts go into effect January 1, 2020; samples are available on the TWIA website.
- New renewal process: As long as their property remains in insurable condition, policyholders will be able to renew their policy directly with TWIA. This new process impacts policies with an effective date on or after March 1, 2020.
What TWIA is mailing policyholders
To support policyholder awareness and understanding of these changes, we are mailing resources to them directly. Because the new TWIA policy contracts go into effect before the new renewal process, what the policyholder receives will depend on their policy renewal date.
Items mailed to policyholders with a policy renewal date between January 1 and February 29, 2020:
