You are invited to participate in a webinar about changes affecting the Loss Settlement Provisions of the TWIA dwelling and commercial policies.
Last month we informed you that we were working on changes to the Policy Conditions that determine how covered losses are settled.
- Current law says the type of loss settlement —replacement cost value (RCV) vs. actual cash value (ACV)—is determined at the time a claim is made.
- New law says the type of loss settlement, RCV or ACV, is determined at the time a policy is issued.
Progress is on track for our systems to be updated to reflect these changes by the end of the year. These changes apply to all new and renewal policies effective January 1, 2020.
We will be hosting webinars to give agents an opportunity to learn more about the changes to the Policy Conditions. You have been selected to participate in our first webinar because you have policies renewing between January and March 2020. The webinar is designed to be interactive, and we welcome you to participate in any one of our scheduled call-in sessions, which will all cover the same content.
