Mercy continues high success rate in second week of PIVO
All of Mercy's hospital units have now implemented the needle-free blood draw device called PIVO. Including draws completed this morning, Mercy is currently at an 83% success rate!

The PIVO device uses a patient’s existing peripheral IV access in lieu of a needle, which can improve the patient experience by minimizing the pain and anxiety of needle sticks and re-sticks. Further value is in the added safety the device can offer practitioners – without the presence of a needle there is less risk for practitioners' sharps-related injuries.

Need help? Please reach out to one of the vendor representatives rounding onsite. The representatives can also be found in Conference Room E.

Thank you to all of the associates who have worked on the PIVO implementation. Your dedication to providing exceptional patient care is evident by the high success rate Mercy has achieved so far.
