Community First® Fund Partner Reception
The FHLBank Chicago hosted its annual Community First Fund Partner Reception in Chicago on October 10. This event celebrated the work of our Community First Fund partners: Accion Chicago, Chicago Community Loan Fund, Cinnaire Lending Corporation, Community Investment Corporation, Community Reinvestment Fund, Forward Community Investments, IFF, and Impact Seven. Thank you to all who attended!

2018 Housing Matters! Conference
Community Investment staff attended Housing Action Illinois’ 2018 Housing Matters! Conference in Bloomington on October 25 and 26. This conference gathered individuals and organizations working to expand and protect affordable housing in Illinois. The FHLBank Chicago was a sponsor.

CommonBond Communities’ Affordable Housing Forum
CommonBond Communities’ Affordable Housing Forum was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 6. Community Investment staff attended to learn about solutions to the eviction crisis in Milwaukee. The FHLBank Chicago was a sponsor.

New Lenox Horizon Senior Living Community Ribbon Cutting Celebration
In November, Community Investment staff joined The Alden Foundation at its ribbon-cutting ceremony and opening of New Lenox Horizon Senior Living Community in New Lenox, Illinois. The FHLBank Chicago made a $760,000 competitive Affordable Housing Program award to this project through BMO Harris Bank National Association.
