Community Investment staff attended and exhibited at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority’s (WHEDA) annual conference in Madison. This event is dedicated to expanding economic development and affordable multifamily housing in Wisconsin. The FHLBank Chicago was also a sponsor of this event.

Metropolitan Planning Council's Annual Luncheon

On September 12, Community Investment staff attended the Metropolitan Planning Council’s (MPC)
Annual Luncheon, The Creativity Factor: How Art and Culture Impact Communities. As MPC’s signature event, the luncheon gathered 1,000 business, civic, public, and community leaders. One highlight was the keynote conversation between Joy Bivins (right) and Lonnie G. Bunch III (left).

On September 13, Community Investment staff attended the Illinois Housing Council’s Fall Mixer, a networking event for affordable housing professionals held in Chicago.

Mercy Housing Lakefront's Moving Forward Together

FHLBank Chicago staff attended Mercy Housing Lakefront’s annual Moving Forward Together event on September 26. This celebration included an educational keynote, dinner, and an award ceremony. The FHLBank Chicago was a sponsor of the event. 

Brainerd Park Apartments Grand Opening Celebration 

Community Investment staff recently joined Full Circle Communities, Inc. at its opening of Brainerd Park Apartments in Chicago, Illinois. The FHLBank Chicago made a $540,000 competitive Affordable Housing Program award to this project through IFF.
