Introducing the 2018 Community Investment Advisory Council
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago’s Board of Directors recently appointed the following individuals to the Community Investment Advisory Council:
  • Mark Angelini, President of Mercy Housing Lakefront
  • Russell D. Kaney, Director of Programs for the Rural & Native American Initiative at Enterprise Community Partners
  • Valerie Johnson Renk, Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity of Dane County
Additionally, the following individuals were reappointed to the Community Investment Advisory Council for an additional term:
  • Mary Patoka, President and Chief Executive Officer of CAP Services
  • Katrina Van Valkenburgh, Managing Director at the Corporation for Supportive Housing
  • Irma Yepez Klassen, Housing Policy Director for the City of Milwaukee’s Office of the Mayor

Members of the Community Investment Advisory Council recently elected Jackie Newman, Executive Director of the Springfield (Illinois) Housing Authority, as its Vice Chair for 2018. Diane Schobert, Principal of Community Enrichment Consulting, continues to serve as Chair.

The Community Investment Advisory Council of the FHLBank Chicago consists of representatives from community and nonprofit organizations actively involved in providing or promoting affordable housing and/or economic development in Illinois or Wisconsin. Nominations to the Advisory Council are solicited annually.
