TWIA’s Agent Advisory Group (AAG) fosters open and transparent communication with our agent community about the issues that matter to them most, and it is with this function in mind that we are excited to announce that qualified members of our agent community may now apply for the AAG.

In June of this year, the terms of three AAG members will end, and the current AAG members will be asked to submit new or incumbent nominees from the agent community to fill the open spots. Starting today, based on a change approved by the AAG at their December 2016 meeting, members of the agent community can complete our online application in order to be considered by the AAG in their nomination process.

If you are interested in applying for the AAG, please fill out our online application by Monday, May 22. TWIA’s General Manager, John Polak, will review all nominations submitted by the AAG and appoint the new members by June 30 of this year.

Recommended Applicant Criteria:

• Work for an agency with at least 100 TWIA policies in force
• Familiar with TWIA and its business processes
• Can contribute to discussion about issues that affect TWIA’s agent community
• Understand TWIA policyholder needs/concerns
• Able to serve a three year term
• Able to attend quarterly AAG meetings in Austin, TX
