July Virtual Wellness Classes – registration is now open!
Virtual Wellness classes explore topics such as Diabetes, Keys to Weight Loss, Managing Stress, Reducing Cancer and Holistic Wellness. are offered via ZOOM. Each class is intended to engage employees, encourage collaboration, increase knowledge, prevent injury, and reduce risks for developing health related conditions. Beginner’s Fitness is a four-week chronic condition prevention seminar that takes participants through the different stages of lifestyle change towards results. Upon the completion of this program, employees are eligible to win a $50 gift card drawing by attending 3 out of 4 classes and completing the post class survey.
| Virtual Wellness on Wheels Wellness on Wheels (WOW) is a monthly health education event provided virtually via ZOOM. The goal of this program is to raise awareness about prevention, medical conditions, and lifestyle management needs amongst the City of Houston employee population. Each month the Wellness Team presents a new health topic. All aspects of the WOW events are intended to help the participants learn more about the health topic and ways to improve their health related to the specific area of promotion.
