TWIA Rate Filing
The Texas Department of Insurance will hold public meetings on TWIA’s rate filing in Galveston and Corpus Christi to hear feedback from stakeholders. The details for the public meetings are provided below. 

Public Meeting Information:
  • Monday, Sept. 23 at 9 a.m.
    Moody Gardens Galveston Island
    7 Hope Blvd., Galveston, Texas 77554

  • Friday, Sept. 27 at 9 a.m.
    Embassy Suites Corpus Christi
    4337 South Padre Island Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas 78411
Members of the public can also submit written comments on TWIA’s rate filing at TWIARateComments@tdi.texas.gov. Written comments must be submitted by Oct. 1 at 5 p.m.

Hurricane Beryl Update
The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association and Texas FAIR Plan continue to receive claims from Hurricane Beryl. As of August 30, we have received 29,833 TWIA claims and 9,154 FAIR Plan claims. To date, we have paid $213.8 million on TWIA claims and $63.1 million on FAIR Plan claims.

The Association has made contact with policyholders on 99% of claims and conducted inspections on 96% of claims.
