The School of Medicine Office of Academic Affairs is delighted to announce the winners and honorable mentions for the annual faculty mentorship awards, which recognizes excellence and innovation in mentoring at UCI School of Medicine — specifically in the domain of faculty mentoring other faculty.

Honorable Mentions:
Anand Ganesan, PhD, MD (Departments of Dermatology, Surgery, and Biological Chemistry)  and Tahseen Mozaffar, MD (Department of Neurology)

Innovation in Mentoring Award
Winner:
Tan Nguyen, MD (Department of Family Medicine)

Equity and Diversity in Mentoring Award
Winner:
Maria Peralta, MD (Department of Internal Medicine)

Each category winner will receive a monetary reward, a plaque, and will be interviewed, along with their mentee, by an associate dean about their experience, insights, and advice on faculty mentoring.

These video interviews will be posted on the School of Medicine Academic Affairs website.
