New This Week: Executive Directive on Invited Guests/Visitors
Chancellor Gillman recently released a new Executive Directive on invited guests/visitors to help mitigate possible exposure to and transmission of COVID-19 on property controlled by UCI and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the UCI community.
This Directive does cover non-UCI research collaborators and volunteers, visiting instructors, meeting attendees/participants, and speakers, and current advice is that it would cover visiting graduate students (except those on clinical rotations, see below).
This does not cover vendors, suppliers, contractors, for which we already have a SOM plan published in a previous Research Insider, nor does it cover visiting students doing in-person clinical rotations at UCI owned and operated sites, who are covered by a previous directive from COHS Associate Vice Chancellor for Education, Dr. Khanh-Van Le-Bucklin.
