It is with disbelief and a heavy heart that I share with you the devastating news that early this morning, Paolo Sassone-Corsi, PhD, passed away. He was home at the time and was discovered by his wife, Emiliana Borrelli, PhD. We have very few details to provide, but we will keep you informed as information is available.
For those of you who knew Paolo, the gravity of this news is extreme. This is a huge personal loss to many of us. He was an exemplary man, husband and scientist, and a world renowned researcher who focused his efforts on understanding the field of epigenetics and the role of circadian rhythms.
