Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Office of Academic Affairs Monthly Newsletter
Each month, we will provide 1-2 tips on commonly encountered issues with file preparation, recruitment, etc. In addition, we will announce reminders of the yearly timeline for academic actions.

The time is upon us!
Preparation should be underway for the upcoming 2020/2021 Academic Review File Season. In the months of March and April, department chairs should be meeting with the department faculty to discuss each faculty’s “Proposed Academic Action” for the academic year 2020/2021. The department’s “Proposed Academic Action Report” is due to the Office of Academic Affairs by May 1, 2020.

Recruitment Reminder
Be sure to update any ongoing recruitments in AP Recruit. It is important that each applicant’s status be kept up to date. The SOM will be reporting to outside agencies and relying on the data within AP Recruit for offers, declined offers and hires. If you have any questions please reach out to your dean’s analyst.

With UCPath on board, our deadlines have moved up!
All Non-Senate Academic Appointee renewals were due to the Office of Academic Affairs by
March 23, 2020.

Be sure to review the communication that was sent out earlier this year. This information can also be found on the Office of Academic Affairs website under “Other Policies”.
