Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to share the news that we will begin construction soon on our state-of-the-art five-story Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences Building and our four-story Sue & Bill Gross Nursing and Health Sciences Hall, which will be situated on the corner of Bison and California Avenues in Irvine.
These thoughtfully planned buildings will combine classrooms, nursing clinical skills and simulation suites, dry research labs, offices, and meeting spaces into collaborative environments fostering innovation and discovery. The college building will also house the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute with space dedicated to clinical exam rooms, a teaching kitchen and activity rooms. Outdoor surroundings will promote health and well-being with features such as a healing garden, yoga area and wellness walkway.

It will be exciting to watch the Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences Building and the Sue & Bill Gross Nursing and Health Sciences Hall rise from the ground and to anticipate how the wonderful new spaces will be used by our students, faculty and staff to foster the type of innovations in discovery, teaching and healing that are the hallmark of UCI!
