1. Pay Attention to Program Deadlines

From now through October 31, 2019, your agency can approve offers through the TWIA depopulation website and contract with participating carriers. Approved offers will be sent to your policyholders on December 1, 2019. Any offers your agency does not approve on the TWIA depopulation website, or on which you have taken no action at all by October 31, 2019, will not be sent to your policyholders. 

2. Learn to Use Our Website

Our "Depopulation Video Demo" is available on our training website to help you through the process under the “DEPOPULATION” section. We encourage you to confirm your selections prior to October 31.

Notice of New Law & Future Program Improvements

Please note that the Texas Legislature passed a law this year to change the depopulation programs and improve agent and policyholder experience by eliminating any decisions during storm season. However, the changes will not take place until after this program year and after the Texas Department of Insurance approves new rules.
