Safety Bulletin - September 2019
September is National
Preparedness Month

September is often the busiest month in Atlantic hurricane season, which runs from June to November. Though safety agencies nationwide encourage year-round preparation, the Federal Emergency Management Agency encourages you to “Be prepared, not scared,” during National Preparedness Month in September.

Houstonians have experienced the risks of hurricanes, tropical storms and flooding first-hand, yet many residents wait until the last minute to stock up on essentials or make a weather emergency plan. Are you ready? Watch this FEMA video and read these Guidance Resources reminders on how best to prepare for the next severe weather event.
