ZIP Tips: Heat Safety


Heat and humidity in Houston hardly come as a surprise, but high temperatures – specifically the heat index or “feels-like” temperature can take your body by surprise if you aren’t careful. City employees who work outdoors, in warehouses, and those who get in and out of hot vehicles should pay attention to the signals your body gives to defend itself from heat illness. Enjoy some summer fun this holiday weekend, but take extra precautions – stay hydrated, seek shade and rest.
