TWIA has maintained a constant watch of storm developments across the Gulf of Mexico over the last week. We activated our CAT Plan on Tuesday, September 11, as a precautionary measure.
Today, the decision was made to deactivate the CAT Plan based on National Weather Service reports. Invest 95 and Tropical Storm Isaac are no longer viable threats to the Texas coast.
TWIA remains ready to respond to our policyholders for the next storm event. Should one occur, please share details with your policyholders on how to file a claim directly with TWIA. We also recommend following us on Facebook to stay up-to-date of TWIA announcements and resources.
