TWIA activated our CAT Plan in response to a disturbance in the Gulf which is expected to move toward the Texas coast later this week.

TWIA is currently still writing coverage. However, please be mindful that we cannot accept new or increased coverage applications on the day (beginning at 12:01 A.M.) or after a windstorm designated as a hurricane by the United States Weather Bureau is in the Gulf of Mexico or within the boundaries of 80 degrees west longitude and 20 degrees north latitude. If this happens, we will send an Agent Bulletin and post an announcement on our website.
