Dear Agent,

It’s National Hurricane Preparedness Week and today is Get an Insurance Checkup day! Join us on Facebook and Twitter for tips you and your policyholders can use to prepare for the 2018 hurricane season, which starts June 1.

Hurricane Preparedness Community Events

TWIA is also participating in events along the coast to share the “insurance is part of preparedness” message. In early May, we participated in the Coastal Bend Hurricane Conference in Corpus Christi and distributed preparedness information to elementary school students at the Hurricane Awareness Tour in McAllen. May 15-18 we will participate in the Texas Disaster and Emergency Management Conference in San Antonio. Check our website for upcoming community outreach events.

Resources for Families and Educators

It’s important for children and young adults to be storm-ready too. Please feel free to share – on your social media, website, or otherwise – these resources with the families and educators in your community:

We hope you, your policyholders, and your community can use these resources to get ready for hurricane season. Additional preparedness information is also available on our website at www.twia.org/hurricane-preparedness.

Sincerely,

Texas Windstorm Insurance Association
