The Biz Bash Continues to Make A Difference! |
| Biz Bash 2017 proudly distributes $350,000! |
Raising the bar and continuing to make a profound impact on community giving, Biz Bash is thrilled to share that its 2017 beneficiary distribution amount was a record-breaking $350,000! This brings the total distribution amount to more than $5.3 million since the event's inception in 2001.
Biz Bash presented the payout to two outstanding beneficiary partners for 2017 -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado and Arapahoe House with a celebratory ice cream social and community gathering at CoBiz headquarters that included Chairman & CEO, Steve Bangert, CoBiz employees and beneficiary guests.
It's been said that being selected as a Biz Bash beneficiary is like winning the nonprofit lottery. After undergoing an extremely competitive selection process, each beneficiary selected joins a prestigious circle of nonprofit organizations that have benefited and partnered with Biz Bash.
"CoBiz, thank you for leveraging your financial strength and passion from your employees to help those in need in our community. It's an incredible story, and Arapahoe House is extremely thankful for the Biz Bash funds that will support the Children's Learning Center on the Arapahoe House campus, keeping mothers together with their children while they receive treatment for substance abuse," Mike Butler, CEO, Arapahoe House
"We are honored to have been selected as a beneficiary alongside Arapahoe House and are thrilled to share that Biz Bash funds will support the Mentor2.0 program at Sheridan High School, helping change kids lives for the better, forever," Dave Ryan, CEO, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado
