Collaborations have a large impact on the growth of science. Each part of the world offers unique strengths and opportunities. There are historic and impactful collaborations between scientists in Latin America and the United States. Collaboration enriches our science and opens new avenues for research and training. This special symposium will highlight the growing collaborations between biomedical researchers, including neuroscientists in Latin America and University of California, Irvine.  Our institutional and educational leaderships and scientific investigators will weigh in their perspectives on research collaborations and education.
