Greetings,
As we move further into hurricane season and closer to peak season in Texas, TWIA is working to help coastal communities better understand their windstorm insurance and prepare for potential storms.
TWIA is hosting a free Coastal Preparedness Expo on Saturday, July 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at College of the Mainland in Texas City. This family-friendly event is being held to help coastal residents learn more about their TWIA policy, prepare for the claims process, and connect with state and local preparedness and emergency management experts before the next storm threatens the Texas coast.
The Association is also inviting insurance agents to attend a free one-hour continuing education course on TWIA topics, including new business submissions, certificates of compliance, payments, and renewals.
Attendees will also be able to access:
• Preparedness information and resources
• Giveaways and door prizes
• Complimentary reusable bags, while supplies last
• Food and refreshments
• Free admission and parking
The Coastal Preparedness Expo is part of our ongoing work to keep coastal communities informed and prepared. We appreciate your help in sharing this information with your constituents.
