Below are important dates and reminders that only apply to your clients on the coast who have FedNat Insurance Company (Maison) policies or were cancelled by Weston Property & Casualty Insurance Company.
Dates and reminders about FedNat (Maison)
- On 10/27, FedNat (Maison) will cancel its policies. In September, they sent this notice to their Texas policyholders.
- On 12/26, the exceptions under the TDI emergency rule will expire for FedNat (Maison) policyholders. Learn more on TWIA’s webpage about liquidated insurers or TDI’s news, resources, and FAQ for FedNat (Maison) policyholders.
- Agents should type in “FedNat” when prompted to provide the declining carrier when applying for coverage with TWIA.
- All TWIA payment plans are available to the policyholder. If they want the special payment plan, agents should select “FedNat (Maison) Receivership Payment Plan” in the payment plan section.
Dates and reminders about Weston
- On 9/7, Weston cancelled all its policies.
- On 11/6, the exceptions under the TDI emergency rule will expire for former Weston policyholders. Learn more on TWIA’s webpage about liquidated insurers or TDI’s FAQ for Weston policyholders.
- Agents should type in “Weston” when prompted to provide the declining carrier when applying for coverage with TWIA.
- All TWIA payment plans are available to the policyholder. If they want the special payment plan, agents should select “Weston Receivership Payment Plan” in the payment plan section.
