Holiday parking for co-workers
Today, May 26, there will be no co-worker parking at Christ Cathedral or in the Orangewood parking lot. No co-worker shuttles will be in operation.

Alternatively, co-workers may park in any AP permit stalls or in the south parking structure at no charge for the entire day.

Grand opening of the new café in Irvine

Join us on Thursday, June 5, at noon for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the new café at the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and Ambulatory Care building in Irvine.

Following the ribbon cutting, enjoy a coffee and sample happy hour with vendors from noon to 1 p.m.

The café will officially open to the public on June 5 at noon and will operate Monday through Saturday, from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Raise awareness about firearm safety
Join us on Friday, June 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Healing Garden at UCI Medical Center to raise awareness about firearm-related injuries and deaths.

  • Connect with community partners
  • Learn about firearm safety
Attendees are encouraged to wear bright orange — the color hunters wear to protect themselves and others — to show support for ending gun violence.

UCI Health teams up with Anteaters baseball to raise stroke awareness

UCI Health partnered with UC Irvine Anteaters baseball to help educate the community about stroke awareness.

During a recent victory over Cal State Fullerton, stroke survivor Karen Bartolone threw out the first pitch. UCI Health neurologist Dr. Jay Shah also joined the ESPN broadcast to share insights about stroke care.

Bartolone experienced a stroke on Aug. 11, 2023. Thanks to quick action and expert medical care, she made a full recovery. Her story is a powerful reminder that recognizing the signs of stroke and acting fast can save lives.
