Weston policies cancelled today, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. Coastal property owners cancelled by Weston, seeking TWIA coverage, have 60 days, through November 6, 2022, to apply for a TWIA policy that will provide them coverage starting September 7, 2022. The available temporary payment plan for coastal property owners cancelled by Weston requires no premium payment at the time of application.
TWIA Effective Date & Payment Plan Guidelines for Coastal Property Owners Cancelled by Weston
- TWIA Policy Effective Dates: Requesting an effective date of 9/7.
- To request a policy effective date of 9/7, agents should call TWIA at (800) 231-5360.
- Temporary Payment Plan for Coastal Property Owners Cancelled by Weston
- Agents can select the temporary “Weston payment plan” in the Payment Plan section of the TWIA application.
- No premium payment is required at the time of application.
- The first premium payment is due by 90 days after the policy effective date. A bill for the first payment will be mailed to the policyholder about a month before it is due.
- A coastal property owner cancelled by Weston seeking coverage from TWIA can also choose to follow TWIA’s normal application process and use our normal payment plans.
Guidelines for Residential Application
- In the Declination section, type in “Weston” when prompted to provide the declining carrier.
- If the date of construction, reroof, or repair is after 6/19/2009 and you don’t have a WPI-8, the residential applicant is eligible for an exception to the WPI-8 requirement. If you have questions about WPI-8s, please call TWIA at (800) 231-5360.
Guidelines for Commercial Application
- In the Declination section, type in “Weston” when prompted to provide the declining carrier.
